At Sofra, we believe food is more than sustenance and it is a celebration of culture, family, and togetherness.
Sofra has been serving Turkish and Mediterranean food on Skene Street for 43 years.
The word Sofra means “a table prepared for a feast”, which is what we try to offer every guest who walks through our doors. Mezes to share, meats off the charcoal grill, warm pitta, and a proper Turkish welcome.
In 2025, Nadine and her family took the restaurant on from the previous owners. The recipes and the welcome are as they always were, and we are quietly adding a few new things along the way, including a Turkish afternoon tea you will not find anywhere else in Aberdeen.
Come as you are and pull up a chair. Sofra is best shared.
